With this nclamp, you can clamp a rugged waterproof box containing your valuable electronic devices, papers and objects to your bike, car window, kayak, boat, wheelchair or walker — virtually any surface imaginable.

The Aqua Box®, manufactured by RAM Mounting Systems, Inc., has a clear, rubber front panel, through which you can see and press buttons on your phone, GPS or other mobile device while ensuring that the unit remains isolated from wind, rain, ocean waves — even a sandstorm.

The nclamp NCL-1600 includes a small size Aqua Box®, with interior dimensions of 2.38" x 4.63" x 1.13". You have the option of substituting a medium, wide or large box at a nominally higher price (see options below).

Aqua Boxes of varying size may be purchased separately from our online "Extras" and can be swapped into the same nclamp NCL- 1600.

Important! The steel PONY clamp needs a bit of care if exposed to water.

The PONY clamp and its high-strength spring are made of steel, which will rust if exposed to water or a damp environment. If you use your nclamp at sea or on a beach, it should be rinsed with freshwater and dried after use. If you use your nclamp in the rain or drop it in a lake, it should be dried after use. You can towel dry, but we'd recommend a quick blow of heat from a hair dryer to remove moisture from the spring.

Each nclamp includes a marine-grade nylon-coated bungee tether and a 2" plated-steel breech clip (shown in image at right) giving you the option to secure your nclamp to any fixed eyelet in the event that the unit is bumped or jarred. This flexible tether is provided to minimize any risk of damage to your valuable devices.

A note regarding operation of iPhone and iPod Touch screens...

The flexible lens on an Aquabox will allow you to depress the click wheel and all contact-based buttons on an Apple iPod, but it does not carry the electrostatic charge required to operate an iPhone or iPod Touch screen, or the sensitivity required to dial an iPod click wheel. An iPhone ringtone is audible through an Aqua Box.
