We've integrated a video camera mount as reliable when mounted on your kayak as it is on your car windshield.

The RAM Locking Suction Video Camera Mount, with components manufactured by RAM Mounts and further enhanced by the addition of our accessories, provides a unique opportunity for you to secure your video camera, SLR, speedlight or other tripod-ready optical device using a locking vacuum cup design similar to the mechanical suction cups used by professional glass installers.

The mount and our added accessories are constructed of premium-grade materials, all suitable for use in freshwater and saltwater environments.

The KLR-5450B Video Mount differs from our KLR-5450A Camera Mount in having a wide base adaptor at its head (shown at left). The wide base lends extra support to your video camera by comparison with the smaller diameter aluminum ball included with our camera mount.

We add a high-quality SBR rubber pad to the video base (also shown in the image at left) enabling you to optionally secure smaller camcorders which have limited depth to accept a standard tripod screw.

The mount's wide base head is supported by a spring-loaded composite arm. The arm's handle can be loosened for positioning the video camera, and tightened with a single hand. This head assembly is tough as nails, easily capable of stabilizing the camera's position.

The wide base adaptor sports a 1/4"-20 stud, compatible with any video camera or device ordinarily accepting a standard tripod screw.

If you are interested in our camera mount, we provide you with the option of substituting RAM's anodized aluminum ball at no additional charge, instead of the wide base adaptor that ships as the standard part with this mount (see Options below). You can purchase the ball, the wide base, or both if you intend to swap parts for various devices.

The locking suction cup at the base of this unit provides an exceptionally strong grip by comparison with competitive suction-based mounts. This mount, cleanly affixed to any non-porous surface (glass, steel, fiberglass, enamel, plastic, etc.), can secure a payload weighing up to 2 lbs. (.9 kg).

The mount can be affixed to a glass window, fiberglass kayak, car fender or boat windshield by power-locking its vacuum grip to the surface through the action of a mechanical lever arm. And when you want to remove the mount, you simply twist the lock counter-clockwise and pull up a small rubber tab.

To enhance the functionality of this industrial quality camera mount, we include a marine-grade, nylon-coated bungee tether and a plated steel breech clip, which allow you to secure the mount in the event that the mount is bumped or the suction becomes disengaged.
